So here we are nearly two weeks after my first surgery. Recovery has been going well up until now. First two-three days were the most difficult but after that, each day started to feel better than the previous one. Although I cannot drive my car yet, this week I also returned back to working (from home) and managed to get into my clothes without any assistance needed (yup so looking forward to back to my normal routine).
So let me take you back to Surgery day. As already communicated in my previous posts, this was scheduled for Monday 3, February 2020 first thing in the morning. Woke up early, got ready and my girlfriend drove me to St. James Hospital. I was so relaxed (I’d say too relaxed) but as time went by I started to feel a bit nervous. This was my first surgery in 33 years so I started to ask myself question which I couldn’t answer. It was 9am, I wanted to look like nothing was going to happen but every time I heard footsteps getting closer, part of me was a bit scared.
Finally I was asked to go to the surgery theatre where I’ve met Mr. Debono as he explained what he was going to do into more detail and there I was waiting for one of my dreams to be fulfilled. All I remember is that one minute I was joking with the surgeon’s assistants the next minute I heard a voice calling my name and asking me to wake up. It was done! Surgery was expected to take approximately two hours but it took a bit longer than expected (nearly 3.5 hours) due to the amount of loose skin but I got home later on the same day.
Since the surgery I’ve been recovering very well! I was so lucky to have Annabelle together the little princess (Cataleya) and my father taking good care of me and assisting me to return back to my routine ASAP whilst having friends visiting me and calling/texting to check on me. I don’t know how I can thank these important people enough for being there for me.

Thank You!
The Journey continues……

I stumbled on your blog whilst on google and yeah sorry about your gynecomastia, you are doing a great job with your weight loss. I have a pituitary/thyroid condition, by any chance was your gynecomastia caused by a pituitary or thyroid issue?

In my can, this was needed to remove the excess skin which were developed due to the fats I’ve built over the years.
