My next milestone

Cannot start this blog post without telling you how overwhelmed I am with the positive feedback and continuous support you are giving me. It was always my dream to start this blog and share my journey with you, but since I have a problem with expressing myself in writing, I always kept this on the side.

Lately I was struggling a bit with my Journey as I couldn’t keep up with my routine due to travelling, designing my place (soon to be called home) and my busy life in general. Lets leave all this behind and focus on the way forward now that I am getting myself back together. So what’s next? What is the next milestone?

Excessive Skin (loose skin) is something you have to deal with after losing a lot of weight. Yup, that’s right! I have to deal with it too! Although I am happier with my appearance than I used to be (and I feel better too! which is the most important), I know that deep down I am struggling to accept what’s underneath my clothes. I have no other option but to get this fixed ASAP! I know that this is going be a bumpy ride as recovery period is long and it’s going to be painful (hopefully I will not have to deal with any complications but let’s just stay positive!) but the end result is totally worth it.

Yup that’s right! Those of you who know me well are wondering how did I publish such picture of myself. But the real question is; should I be ashamed of showing such picture? Or should I be happy that I managed to get this far? Since I opted to go public with my Journey (I just want to motivate people and help those facing the struggles I faced), I had to share this since this is part of the process of my weight loss journey.

So here we go for the good news! This Tuesday I will kick off the process to have this fixed! It’s time for the first consultation meeting with the Surgeon. Hopefully I’ll get some positive feedback. I’ll guess we will have to wait and see. Of course there are tests which must be done before I’ll undergo my surgery. I urge you to keep following this blog if you are interested in my journey! I will keep you updated with the outcome of the meeting in the coming days!
