Turning into a 2-digit

As you might have thought, during the past weeks I was busy working my ass off to reach my targets. You might ask me, but why? Aren’t you already happy with your achivement? Well the answer is simple, I am happy with my achivements but there was a roadmap for my journey and although I am getting very close to the final weight target, I am still not there.

When I first started this, I never beleived that I would see myself getting close to 100kg. Let’s be real, would you wake up one day and beleive that you can change your lifestyle and lose 80kg? Although it is not impossible to do such thing (and I can confirm that it is possible), I have to admit that it is no easy task (at least not before you get used to the new lifestyle).

From 180kg I set my first target to150kg, then 120kg, 110kg and so on (I just wanted to get closer to 100kg). The moment I reached 120kg, I struggled a lot and couldn’t lose another kilo for 8 months! But NO! I wasn’t planning on giving up, I just pushed harder and harder! All I knew was that I had to reach my targets. But how? Changed my diet plan and my workout but still nothing. Funnily enough I had to stop my diet for 1 week to shock my body before changing back to full mode on my diet plan and voila! I was back on track burning more fats.

Two different versions of myself!

One thing was for sure, I never expected I would be in position to reach 100kg let alone converting this body from a 3-digit into a 2-digit. Guess what? The determination, motivation and dicipline got me there. I can finally say that for the first time in years I’ve seen a 2-digit number on my scale! 99.6kg it is! I just cannot explain how I feel. I just want to cry. Why did I ever doubt myself? I just saved myself! I was just a useless obese person (Yup that is how I felt!) waiting for a time-bomb to go off. Weighing 180kg with a heartbeat of more than 95 beats per minute at rest. How long could I have lasted more?

The above is showing the heaviest I’ve been recorded on paper but this was not my worst. This was 3 years before I reached the highest numbers on my scale (180kg+) vs my current weight.

Again I am not done yet, my next target is to get to 95kg! So here I am, working to reach this new target and still on track to prepare myself for the 2020 Surgery which will see the excess skin taken off! Cannot wait!

You are nailing this. I cannot possibly imagine the resilience to muster what you have achieved till now. Kudos; keep pushing. Post weight loss, post surgery, you will be looking at new goals and boundaries; where choosing a different sport for the fun of it, rather than exclusively for weight loss, will be possible. Unless you enjoy regular gymming, that is 🙂

    1. Thanks Conrad! Looking back, I would have never believed that this was possible. Besides the GYM, I also attend for MMA sessions once per week. Looking forward to the surgery!
